Wipers not operating properly

HELP! Big rain when coming south in OH and wipers stopped doing variable speed & wont park. High & low work properly however. No obvious wires loose/frayed.
Any ideas?
Thanks, Harry

That would most likely be either be a bad switch or a bad timer in the wiper control. Neither are likely to be a DIY fix.

If the wipers stop where ever you switch them off, there should be a hot wire to the motor that lost power.

When you shut off the switch, it cuts power to the run mode but not to the park mode.

The park mode needs power so that they stay running until the internal switch senses the blades parked and it cuts the power.

Check the plug on the motor for bad connection.

Id be interested to know if wiper motor was covered by Ford (my passenger wiper just crapped out)... thought they were chassis only.

Wipers are a split responsibility between Ford and the coach builder. Ford's responsibility ends at a Washer/Wiper interface module which is located near the base of the steering column inside the coach. Beyond this point the house manufacture has responsibility to include the motor and mechanical linkage to the wipers.

As best you can follow the wire run from the module to the motor (or the reverse) checking connectors along the way for possible water in the connectors that could cause problems.

Thanks, it’s good to know which company is responsible for what.
I had a headlight problem in a previous coach that included Ford & Thor responsibility—not fun to solve.
