I'm currently using a wireless, 7" back-up camera purchased on EBay. Make sure you get one that states at least a 20 meter range. The instructions STINK but it's not that difficult to wire the 12V in the dash and I tapped into the roof line running lights for the back-up camera. Because these wireless use the same 2.4GHz frequency that everyone else uses, you do get interference near power lines and cell sites which causes the picture to flicker. The camera angle allows me to see most of my towed as well as the traffic on either side of the front of the towed. While backing up, it works fine with decent color clarity. I think I paid around $80 plus $20 shipping. It replaced the original ADTH black/white unit that came with this 2002 Kountry Star that had begun to act up.

Thanks for all the feedback. I have been researching different brands and wired versus wireless. I would prefer a wired system but installation will be more challenging if the current camera wire is not able to be used. I will update when I get a system and install it. Thanks again.

My original camera system on my 2000 Damon Challenger was a wired system with 4 wires. It worked, but the 5" black & white monitor just didn't have the clarity I wanted. I ordered a new system from Rear View System to replace it. I too thought I would have to run new cable (that was included). Man, that was going to be a CHALLENGING job. I removed the camera from the mount and found there was enough slack to access the connector. I cut off the connector from the cable running to the front of the rig and did the same thing on the camera end. Now here's the thing...old cable was 4 wire, new cable was 5 wire. The extra wire was for sound, so I folded it back and just matched the wires on both ends. I did connect the shield from the old and new wires to reduce interference. Soldered all wires, used heat shrink tubing then taped wires together. Guess what? It has been working for over a year now with NO issues.
Upside is, I still have a new 50' cable if I ever need it.

Hope this helps! It took me about two hours to complete, and it was well worth it.

I purchased a wireless rear view camera from Tadi Brothers in October. Couldn't get it to work as a wireless but it would work fine if hardwired .
Contacted their customer service and they sent me a new wireless transmitter and receiver .
Unfortunately the parts arrived after we had left for our trip so no new camera for that run.
After the parts came I installed them and the camera worked wireless . I figured all was well and left it at that.
When I took the rv out for it's monthly exercise a couple of weeks later and the camera would work for a few minutes and then cut out.
Checked all of my connections , redid a couple of them, went for a ride and got the same result.
Camera works fine for backing but if I try to leave it on while driving it will go to a blue screen ( loss of signal) within minutes. I believe the loose connection is in the replacement transmitter.
At this point I give up , yes I should contact them but I'm out of patience with the product.
I will most likely get a long enough cable and just hard wire it for good.
