Wiring diagram for house batteries

I am attaching two diagrams that I drew of the wiring of my 6volt house batteries for my 2012 Thor Tuscanny motorhome. I was told this wiring is wrong but it sure seems to get to 12 or 13 volts and the coach meter shows good voltage. There are 4 ea 6 volt golf cart batteries that look to me like 2 sets in series and then that is in parallel. I rely on your expertise....does this look correct to you?

Thanks tfryman! I should have noted that the top sketch is with batteries in symmetrical position and the bottom sketch is actually the way it is. If this is correct I am thankful!

Should be OK, Here's a link to an "official" schematic for 6v's in series/parallel configuration.

Very unconventional but functional. At least the one on the left. Look at Gary's diagram. The series are usually side by side either length wise or width. Your series pairs are cross ways from each other.

This was my original setup

This is my upgrade.

You want to attach the coach load to separate banks. That is, the positive coach cable attaches to the positive terminal of one set of 6v batteries in series, and the negative cable attaches to the negative terminal of the other set.
