Wood blinds

Getting rid of old valances and horrible day night shades. Would like wood blinds, anyone do this. Need to make a decision soon. Looked at cellular shades, didn't lay right and too flimsy.

I bought my coach a couple of years ago with wood blinds. IMO, they look good at the campsite and in the driveway, but they make a lot of noise when driving down the road. They go back and forth and back and forth... They are the wide ones and are somewhat difficult to pull up and let down. They also need to be dusted all the time.

At some point, I am going to swap them out for a day/night shade...

I have been looking at the cell shades at lowes. One of the things I like about them is that if you get the electric ones you can bring them all the way up to the top when you are traveling and I do not believe you would have any noise out of them. They seem to be pretty tight against the top when you do that. The manufacturer also advertises some insulation characteristics from them. I want to get the night blinds so that they cut out the light when they are down. I do not use the day shades in my coach anyway and having the cell shades with electric remote control would be a lot easier than messing with trying to push the long day night shades up.
