I would definitely run mine. You can't easily inhabit these things in the heat without air.
No electric is the parks fault.

No biggie, we - and everyone else - started our generators.

Within half an hour, unfortunately, there was a sheriff's deputy driving round the park telling everyone that it was a "Spare the Air" day, and generators had to be shut down due to high smog levels. We left and went home. KOA gave us a full refund.
I would have asked him if he had his AC on in his patrol car?
And if its Spare thr Air day then why is he driving around and poluting the air.

We were gone about two hours and the first thing we noticed was that our LED interior light strip was off. It runs off a 110v adapter.

I checked inside - all breakers were fine. Checked the pedestal and sure enough the meter was off. Turns out about a dozen sites went dark while we were out. The very nice Prevost next to us has their generator running, its whisper quiet. My Onan-chainsaw-5500 is as obnoxious as can be.

The staff went home for the evening and security is running around like ants saying they can’t fix it and they can’t move us. We paid $2,500 to be here for a month. So I just turned on the generator despite it being explicitly against the rules because it’s over 80 outside.

What would you do? I’ve only been RVing a year and have never had this happen before. (For reference I talked to all my neighbors first and they were very nice and understanding).
You do what you gotta do.
When we had our gasser, we never did run the 5.5kw Generwreck at night and since it was pretty much under the bed and sounding a lot, like you say.
With our present quite Diesel up front, we almost welcome the chance for running it, if need be. Usually don't boon dock, if it's too hot, though.
Also have a fan over the bed that runs on 12v and have used that, as well, as the Fantastic exhaust fans. The four AGM house batteries will run these all night, so again, just depends on how hot, it really is.

And, if you think your generator is loud - try listening to your neighbor's (well, maybe not the prevost) 3 A/C's running...

Let them complain to the management - ask for the boondocking rate!

Or, if the neighbors complain - see if you can sleep in their rig for the night so you can leave your generator off.
Hahaha... with his cats!
