Wrench ?

Would like to find the wrench to remove the beauty ring or hub caps from freightliner phaeton m/h to polish and clean easy have heard there is one made of plastic so you do not damage chrome thanks

Most are so tight the factory wrench will swist. I got at Sears a socket that fits and at a truck stop some extra chrome caps. This way if I scratch one I replace it.

If you're the least bit handy, you can make one yourself for next to nothing. I used a piece of 1/8" tempered Masonite. Glue 2 pieces together, make a template out of cardboard to fit the nut and cut it out with a jig saw. If you're feeling particularly high class, you can spray paint it and hang it somewhere downstairs. A good 2 hour Saturday job.
