Wrong tires?

I purchased 6 new Michelin tires for our 1999 40 ft motor home from the shop that takes care of normal engine and chassis maintenance. While they felt fine while driving upon closer inspection I noticed they are designated for use on semi trailer tires. It appears the load rating is satisfactory for the coach but I’m concerned about how they will affect handling. Any ideas?

I spoke to Michelin customer service and was told the X Line Energy T tires are a good fit for the motor home. Thanks for your response

These tires are commercial grade, just like the BF Goodrich we used to have. The only drawback is that they are not M+S rated. Note: All-season is not the same as M+S!

So for us, camping year-around, we had them swapped for their M+S rated counterpart.

There are many roads out there where M+S tires are mandatory during certain weather conditions. Unless you have the symbol on the tire, it is illegal to use these roads, and you also loose insurance coverage.

Happy Camping!
