Toyo Tires

Purchasing a new(used) MH with new Toyo Tires. I understand the originals were Michelin tires..Any opinions on the Toyo tires.

I had never heard of them until now!

I have a couple of thousand miles on my Toyo M144's and they are quiet and ride great. No wandering in the steering or vibration like the Goodyears I took off.

I replaced my 6 year old Michelins with Toyo M144's two years and 20,000 miles ago. They are just as good as Michelins. Actually, the Michelins are just as good as the Toyo's, but they cost 40% more.

LOL...their odor is as strong as your black tank, and lasts awhile. mine are 8 weeks (to me) built in late '19, and still smell bad.

I have had them on my coach for 2 years and 20,000 plus miles and I have no complaints. They are M144's.

Excellent tires with a worldwide reputation for quality products. Widely used by truck & bus fleets too. They have a major factory near Atlanta that makes most of the large tire sizes sold in the USA.

Like Fast E said, my 144's has a sewer smell for about a year or 10,000 miles. It's very slight now and don't notice it, and then, only if I get close to the tire.

That's really odd. I have heard this before and I had Zero smell from mine. I wonder what causes that issue.

There was some smell from my Toyo tires, but it didn't last that long and it certainly wouldn't stop me from buying another set of Toyo tires when the time comes to replace our rig's tires.

You wouldn't be purchasing from a dealer in NC would you? I just traded in my previous MH that had new Toyo tires that replaced a set of Michelins...

had them on my 38' Newmar Pusher

I put a set on our old motorhome. The tire / road service friend of mine said thats what they run on their personal motorhome. I figured if thats what the guys that make a living off of changing tires put on their RV they must be good.
Had the Newmar for 6 years and never had a problem with the Toyo's.
