A quick check of Dutchstar and King Aire brochures list the interiors at 84".

Right you are about Newmar, they are 84" except for the Baystar. I looked right at the Newmar website before posting, looked right at the 84" and posted 80 just the same ! Wow, Bozo time is setting in on me folks!!!

I have a 78" ceiling. I'm 6 2". This is my first motorhome and I'm fine with the ceiling height. Now if I had one with a 84" ceiling, I bet it would bother me if I went back to a 78".

My last motor home had a bit shorter ceilings (not sure the height) I'm 6' 4" and have to put drops in my eyes morning and night. I would have to stand under one of the ceiling vents to put the drops in. Our present MH is higher and I can stand anywhere and put the drops in. Also, remember that your height is barefooted... when you put your 5 inch heals on you might be rubbing the roof!

Also note if you buy a coach with a bigger motor rear section over the motor may have reduced height. Our coach has 7ft in most of coach but at 6'2" my head brushes some in our main bath. Best to check out actual floor plan in person before you order if possible.

Unless you're gonna do a lot of jumping around, I can't see how the 6'8" would be a problem.
The difference in 6'8" and 7' would not be a big consideration for me!

I can see how a coach like the Winnebago Forza 38W could do well with the 6'8" ceiling. It's the only coach I know of without a step up into the master bath so you have the 6'8" throughout.
But other coaches with the standard 2"/3" step up to the master bath could be. That would leave me less than 3 inches and that seems a little tight. I could get use to it I'm sure but wouldn't do it with a viable alternative.

I'm 6-4, the ceiling height in my rig is 6-8 and is fine for me-I even clear the ac unit. Higher ceiling=more area to heat/cool/propel through the air.

i had one gasser and two dp's all different brands and never had step in bathroom.. what do you mean by that??
until you have spent some time in a coach with 7'6" ceiling height you wont even think its a big deal. until you actually do.

Yep I'm 6'1 and our Ventana is 84", plenty of room and does not feel cramped at all. I wouldn't jump, but I've got a pretty good vertical leap.

Hi beenthere, what I was saying is most diesel pusher coaches have a two to three inch step up between the master bedroom and bath. This would only apply to the bath and half coaches with the rear bath of course.

I'm 6-2 and my coach ceiling height is 78" (6'-6) so it works for me. I really would like to have 7' ceilings though.

Sometimes the ceiling height is due to the thickness of the roof. At the lot, when we were locking up at night, it was very noticeable that one of the motorhomes was much cooler than the others. It had a thicker roof and it made a very big difference in the inside temperature. I can't remember who made the coach. (Give me a break, I am 76) Sometimes the lower roof is better.
