2008 Coachhouse LP detector 3 wires to 2 wires

Hello all.
I have a 2008 Coach House Platinum. Replacing the LP detector. Original detector has 3 wires (red, black, white) with one wire attaching to the purple wire for the LP Shut off solenoid. Replacement detector only has 2 wires. Called Safe-T and they said I don’t need but 2 wires.
Without power to solonoid I don’t have LP to appliances. How do I now get power to the solenoid wire from LP detector? Can I just attach the purple solenoid wire to the two red wires from detector and coach, then just attach the two black wires together? Thanks!

You just need to power the solenoid with the 12 volts that power the detector.

You won't get LP leak shut-down on LP detection but there are not many detectors made to provide that function any more.

That's what I was thinking too. I just went ahead and wired the solenoid to the "hot" wire it seems to be working. I just didn't want to short anything out. Thank you.

That’s what fuses are for. 😀 - assuming the coach was wired correctly.
