2021Roadtrek play only getting 10.2v at fuse panel.

Battery display panel reads 14.2 v with engine running. Inverter reads 13.8 5 minutes after engine is off. All circuit breakers read 14v with engine running. All tests point to a problem with the main power lead to the fuse box.
This is on a new rig under warranty so I’m gonna let the dealership fix it because it’s a Roadtrek problem. Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions. They said they would need 1-3 weeks to get it repaired.
I could do it in a day if I was 10 years younger.

Ok; I'm a little confused , but that's normal at my age .

You're getting alternator voltage " everywhere " with the engine running .
Inverter panel shows 13.8 volts , 5 mins after engine shut down .

When do you get 10.2 volts at the fuse panel ???
What is the voltage AT the battery when the fuse panel has 10.2 ?

13.8 volts is a surface charge at the battery , if after an hour or so you're only seeing 10.2 volts ; I would suspect a dead cell in the battery rather than a bad connection.

Battery always has correct voltage. It just isn’t getting to the fuse panel. I suspect a loose cable from the reset circuit breaker probably at the back of the fuse panel.
It’s my sisters rig and under warranty. I wrote up my troubleshooting and told her to give it to the tech at the dealer. It will save them a lot of trouble.

I'd tend to agree with your diagnosis , as being the first thing to check , hope it's not the fuse panel or some other 4 month down the road part.

So the voltage at the fuse panel doesn't increase with the engine running ?

That would be odd .

That’s correct. The voltage at the fuse panel stays the same.

My sister said the dealer found that the control board for the tankless water heater was causing the voltage problem. They are now awaiting a response from Roadtrek on what to do.
I told her to ask them to bypass the water heater and let her use the rig while they wait for parts.

Now shes been told she can pick up her rig this coming week. Evidently there was a loose connection that caused a fuse holder to heat up and melt/ short out causing the voltage issue.

I do hope the dealer isn't just " blowing smoke " and the problem is properly fixed ; but time will tell .

Problem solved. She’s on a two month trip now and everything is working properly.
Loose connection caused all the issues.
