About to order Phoenix Cruiser 2910T sight unseen

We've researched for months, changed direction many times, but have finally settled on downsizing (after nearly 40 years of RVing) to a Phoenix Cruiser 2910T, custom built in Indiana. Problem is, we live in Oregon and have never set foot in this brand of RV. Is there anyone within a few hundred miles of us---Portland/Seattle/NoCal corridor---who has one they can show us and tell us about? The 29-footers are only a couple years old, we realize, but perhaps your general experience with the quality of the rig, the responsiveness of the mfgr, and your level of satisfaction would be enough to reassure us that we've made the correct choice. Thanks for any help or advice you can offer.

2910D owner reply

We are in Florida so can't help you as a local source. Nevertheless, buying a Phoenix Crusier that far from Elkhart really makes me think about it in a different light. The big attraction is having the best looking unit in the market that beats the competitors on every aspect and price. The big worry of course is having to deal directly with the manufacturer. No dealers for warranty work like we had with our Winnebago.

As it is, we are extremely pleased with our 2910D and the extraordinary way the owner, Kermit, and his staff treat their customers. We went to the plant twice last summer and simply were amazed at how positive they are and how willing to do whatever needed. Same over the phone.

I am now confident they will do everything necessary to take care of whatever needs fixing. You work with Kermit. He and his techs will provide the information you need, send replacements parts and reinburse you for out of pocket costs of repair. This is our experience. It should also be yours.

For me the concern is only finding a competent RV service facility. Camping World is reportedly highly variable as to the quality of their techs so I look elsewhere first.

Thanks for Phoenix Cruiser advice

Thanks, Dick. We took the plunge yesterday and ordered our 2910T. It helped that the Phoenix Cruiser folks post tons of photos of the units on their web site and that you can get a factory tour and complete walk-through on YouTube. No other manufacturer we've researched does such a good job of presenting their products. Because our unit will be ready within a month, and we definitely don't want to take a winter trip through the Midwest, we'll take delivery in Las Vegas. We've been working with Stuart on the sale and trade-in and have no complaints at all about our treatment. Of course, we hope not to have any warranty repairs. . .some RVs are peaches rather than lemons. Bob
