Airstream Interstate 19 question

I do not have access to the Air Forum (didn't know it was a closed group) so I'm posing a question(s) here. I'm a mobile tech working on a customer's 2019 Airstream Interstate that has no power. The DC/battery system controller is a touchscreen and does not power up. I've found only the starter battery. This unit has an onboard generator in the rear under the chassis. I've looked everywhere I can think of and no luck. The starter battery looks like it may be a dual purpose and it only measures 2.8vdc so it's no good. The customer is going to have the dealer they've worked with pick it up and sort out this issue. That will still leave the coach battery problem. I also have not been able to find the inverter/charger. Any help in guiding me to the locations of these items would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

If you haven't already looked here for PDF versions of Airstream Interstate manuals, this may prove helpful when it comes to locating components and ferreting out electrical issues (e.g. wiring diagrams) https://www.airstream.com/owners/man...als=interstate

Best wishes for a successful repair!

You are a mobile tech and can't find the coach batteries? There are two and they are mounted under passenger and driver step wells. I'd guess all the batteries are dead.

The inverter/charger is inside the passenger seat base.

You should look at Airstreams web site for more info. The owners manuals, which can be downloaded pdf's, now include wiring diagrams in the back. They have lots of videos online with details of all systems. The link below includes a video that tells you where the coach/house batteries are located.

I looked under the seat wells and while I did see 2 boxes there I could not find any cables going to/from them nor could I feel any connections and they look too small to house what I'd expect to find. I have also looked through the owners manuals I could find and none showed where to find the batteries or inverter on this particular model. I appreciate your input in that regard.

Now, given the number of RV's out there and their various configurations it is entirely reasonable that someone, no matter how experienced, may have difficulties finding some items on a rig they are not intimately familiar with. The Roadtrek, although it is built on the same Mercedes Sprint van chassis, puts their batteries in the rear under the chassis and they are much larger. These also took some time to locate since the manual on that doesn't tell you where they are either.

Thanks. I've downloaded the manual already, but hadn't looked at the wiring diagrams. Even there, though, they don't tell you where the batteries are located only that there's two of them. I'll look under the seat wells as suggested by boxster.

If you are looking at those boxes under the van right under the driver and passenger seats - they are the house batteries on the Airstream Interstate 19.

I'm attaching an annotated photo to clarify the locations.
