AIRSTREAM Interstate Lounge EXT

Has anyone purchased one of these Class B Airsteams and if so any comments? Also, does anyone know the base dealer-price vs retail? These are costly "B's" but boy they are pretty. My last coach was a 2007 Tiffin 42QRP Bus. I loved that coach but our kids have moved out and it would be nice to have an agile but nice small coach that other's can drive as well.

Has anyone gone from a large "A" into a "B" and discovered significant benefits? I'm trying to learn what I don't know besides the obvious.

Thanks all

Wardy

Air Forums Sprinter and B Van Forum (link).

Your questions have been asked by others on that forum - some people have no problem with the smaller Class B, and others cannot tolerate the restricted space. It all depends on the owner's temperament and intended travel lifestyle and, to a certain extent, willingness to develop small-space workarounds.

My husband and I don't mind the smallness, but our secret to that was extensive modifications. Our Interstate feels larger every time we add a new functional capacity to it. We've spent much of our free time over the past 2.5 years doing just that, so we've got quite a versatile rig by this time.

We did too, it even had the rear air springs-loaded. Definitely a quality machine
