Can't refill LP

Hey all,
Purchased Entegra Ethos 21' in May. The van is 2021 with 9000 miles so it is considering "used".
The van came with full LP tank. During the summer I was cooking, showering, heating the van and grilling on portable grill. Yesterday went to the storage just to check the van and noticed the LP tank is 50% full witch is normal due to the usage during the summer. Decided to go to the filling station to fill it up. This is the very first time I was going to do that.
To make the story short, I ended going to 3 different places and none of them was able to fill the propane. They all were opening the air valve and pretty much doing the same think. And I know the tank definitely not full.
I used a old tooth brush to push the filling valve and propane came out so the valve is not stuck also this is telling me the 80% stopping valve inside the tank should not be stuck as well since the propane is coming out of the tank true the filling line. Any ides will be highly appreciated.

They did not have the correct adapter or what was their excuse?

When they connected to Fill Valve were they NOT able to PUMP liquid propane in?

Clarification:
No 'Air Valve'
It is called a Bleeder Valve (Fix Liquid Level Gauge-----open end is at the 80% liquid level)
Crack open when filling ...Propane VAPOR comes out---when 80% Liquid Level is reaches Liquid Propane spits out
NO AIR

From reading about the same problem on another RV forum, the problem is that the tech is not using the correct adapter to fill your type of fill valve.

Ha! Sounds like you got a tank made by the Machabees. Just a silly Hanukkah reference. Seriously though I think it would be safer to replace that tank since something is not right and $100 Vs a trailer on fire is a good deal.
Cheers!

Class B motorhomes use ASME tanks which cost 10 times that much, not to mention
installation.

To the OP: Go to a real propane supply where that's all they do and they know what they are doing.

Is the fill valve right on the tank or remote mounted with a hose to the tank.

If remote, there will be a check valve at the tank that may be stuck. A remote fill will let a small amount of propane out of the hose even if the 80% valve is stuck.

Wondering what are the chances on 3 different stations 3 different people to use wrong adapter.

One of them was Chevron gas stations and I agree that the lady who was helping me may mess up. The other 2 places are propane stations only and I am sure the knew what they are doing. Unfortunately they had only two (at lest visible) adapters, one for RV and one for portable tanks.
So another question, if there are different adapters are they with same tread and if yes how I can tell witch one is correct?

Does the adapter has a pin inside to push the valve open or the pressure from propane is opening the valve?

With the 'remote fill' the MAIN FILL Valve at tank is the problem...it is not opening

*when you pushed in on the fill valve (remote) you got propane that was trapped in the hose between Main Tank & Remote fill valves

Twinboat is correct. There will, should be, a remote vale that is probably closed.

You circled the bleed valve connection.

The fill valve is to the right.
