I will be replacing my currant tires that I like. They are Continental Van Contact A/S. Does anyone have experience with the upgraded Continental Van Contact A/S Ultra that has an increased load range and a slight increase in tread depth. My concern is tire noise but I like increased load range because my van is just under 10,000 lbs.

I don’t have experience with the Continental tires but I just upgraded to Michelin Agilis CrossClimate C-Metric to get the increased load rating of 121/120. My van weighs 9,100 lbs when fully loaded for a long trip. The new tires are actually quieter than the Nexen tires they replaced. The ride is gentler on rough roads as well. The new tires can be inflated to 50 PSI front and 65 PSI rear instead of 65/80 for the Nexen tires. I think the lower inflation pressures are a big part of the noise/ride improvement. You might see the same with the Continentals.
