Does your Class B van have a generator?

Is it mounted underneath the coach? How often do you get it serviced and check the oil?

I'll bet that most of you just skip this altogether or rarely exercise the generator??

Cummins Onan says that you should run your generator regularly or at least two hours per month....

Do you use it for running the rear air conditioning?

It's handy for this and you can almost run the rear A/C without the dashboard air conditioning.... especially helpful on long mountain climbs to prevent overheating your engine...

What do you think????

I have a Cummins Onan generator on my Travato and yes I exercise it 2 hrs a month with a 50% load. Works well for running the rear ac while parked and also the microwave oven. I change the oil myself. Not hard to do.
