We are home after traveling nearly 7 months straight in the Grech Strada Ion. Prior to this years travel we lived in a 45' Newmar Mountain Aire for about 4 1/2 years. We bought a small winter home at the same time we bought the Grech, one so that we could stretch out and relax a bit. We will use that time to get our maintenance done on our two rigs, house up keep, personal medical appointments and voting done. And we will do some in-state camping a little to help us stay busy. One can never explore too much.

So we do miss the space of the larger RV but have grown to enjoy the now smaller space. To be able to leave our dog in the van with AC running for as long as we need with just using the batteries is pretty amazing. Being able to get into parking spots pretty easily is also great. That and getting to stop anywhere of interest along the days journey has also been enjoyable. We have gone to planning waypoints along our daily trip that we possibly couldn't have done with the big coach as easily. Having a fridge and freezer when we go grocery shopping has been nice in the hot temps that we were in this past summer. Of course any rig has that on the road. Just some aren't as convenient to park.

With that, would we buy it again knowing what we know today. Yes, without a question. The ease of travel is great. Are there things we wished were different or they should change? Yes, but that just our personal opinion.
