Kwikee 28 series Electric Step Retracted

I have a Kwikee electric step (28 series) on my motorhome that is stuck retracted. I'm trying to check the wiring and motor, but can't because the step covers them. I have tried manually pulling out the steps, but that doesn't work. It's very difficult to get to the screws to remove the step. Anyone have any other ideas?

Welcome to iRV2.

Sorry your first post is about problems.

Can you access the pivot pin , between the step and the linkage from the motor , remove the cotter pin and pivot pin and the steps will swing free.
