I had a conversation about this very issue with a friend/fellow RVer not long ago. We agreed the majority of sales people in the RV industry are failures of the Auto sales industry. More accurate, used car sales. That's how bad they are. Zero product knowledge, zero sales skills and zero follow up. They're like, "I don't care what you're looking for, just pick something and and I'll take you to the finanace department. Good luck!" They just want the 'gimme' and not a relationship with the customer. If you happen to find a knowledgeable and experienced RV salesperson it's a rare occurence!

I have read that 90% of RV sales people don't own nor have ever own a RV and over 80% have never even slept in one. Sales personal are hired for their sales ability, not there product knowledge. Most only learn enough to get by.
Don't go to NIRVC thinking you're going find inventory because their high volume sales means that finding something in inventory is highly unlikely. If you sit down and explain what you're looking for there's a good chance they can get it, but not right away.

You must be an educated buyer! Your someone they don’t want to “deal” with! You have to find a dealership that is honest and upfront with everything. This is a hard find. Others have stated NIRV, give them a shot!

There are several reasons
There are some reasons for this:
1. It's like selling small cars - little profit equals little sales motivation.
2. Class B is a basic configuration and manufacturers tend not to invest better design efforts or quality materials in them. As an example, take a look at "Lite" RV construction techniques. Often, the quality is less than desired.
3. A new class B is hard to find on a dealer lot and there are limited model, floorplan, amenity, and manufacturer choices.
4. There are many (definitely not all) less than reputable dealers out there.
I would search for class B manufacturers first, look at their specs and floor plans, narrow down your choices, then search for dealers and look at reviews for specific dealers you consider. Look at manufacturer and model reviews as well. Only after that would I select a dealer to possibly purchase from. Some replies to your post mention NIRVC and they are certainly a dealer I would consider, but there are others.
As you identify manufacturers and models you should be able to find brochures or at least specification sheets online.

I disagree with the post that a class B is a stripped down RV. My Regency Ultra Brougham is absolutely 1st class. As fine of finishes as you will find in a million dollar rig. The difference is "what do you want?" I wanted a smaller, easier to drive, park, back up, easy for my wife to drive, and descent fuel mileage, etc.
Other than my small electrical problem and discovery of how incompetent Dealers service depts are, I'm very happy with my rig. (and 16-17 MPG of diesel)
If you plan to live in yours 3 to 6 months at a time, you probably would prefer a larger rig. I'f you plan a lot of short term camping, a class B is great.

DONT BUY S CLASSB too many build quality issues! We have parked next to many Class B RV’s and not one owner was happy and not one would buy one ever again! Think about that, those who owned didn’t like them!

Ive just pretty much given up
Unless something falls in my lap, dont think Im going to pursue the idea of a B van anymore

What brand of B's are you referring to. We really like our B yes we would like more storage and a bigger bathroom but the pros outweigh the cons. For us anyways.

Hmm, not sure how you’ve arrived at this conclusion. Literally, every day …I observe dozens of very favorable conversations occurring amongst several Class B van conversion Facebook owner groups …despite the fact that we eventually purchased a Coach House Class C rig.
In particular, the Coachmen Beyond van conversion owner’s discussions that I monitor …consistently reflect a high level of ownership satisfaction. The same can be said of the Coach House Class B Arriva van conversion owners.
I would NOT allow a few unfortunate conversations with dissatisfied B van owners to unduly influence you, when extremely broad enthusiastic consensus exists within the community. (You just need to know where to look to find an extremely LARGE sample size …from which established trends can correctly be determined).

As others have pointed out your post is wrong in so many ways.

Everyone is entitled to their "respectful" opinion. I had a B+ & loved it.

I find it hard to understand many of the comments re Class B's. A simple google search will find many, almost new Class B's for sale at much lower costs than new.* Check this out:
https://www.rvtrader.com/listing/202...5MB-5030408039
I have a 2021 Regency Ultra Broughn and am very happy with it.* The most important consideration for you is :* How many bodies will be traveling with you.* If the answer is "more than 2" then you need to consider a larger RV. My wife and I are the only passengers in mine and we love it.* We get 16 to 17 MPG of diesel.* It's small enough to park just about anywhere you can park a car. If you plan to go south for the winter, again, you will prefer something larger.* Class B's are fun to travel in and* camp for a week or two, but if you plan to stay in it for long periods of time, get something bigger.
Good luck

What planet are you living on? I owned a Coachmen Beyond on a Ford Transit T350HD chassis for four years with ZERO issues. It made multiple trips from Michigan to Arizona annually in that time period and several to Virginia.
I sold it to purchase a Revel. No issues so far, other than worse fuel economy and less power than the Transit Ecoboost.
Two very different vans, but no regrets with either.
I also realize that there are people out there that really shouldn’t ever own an RV of any kind, since they’re totally helpless if minor issues do surface.

Well....
The issue here is the hybrid nature of use - both as personal living space and as work space. For myself, I'd find a Class B insufficient in floor space and weight capacity to do both.
Correct that sales staff do not have an intimate knowledge of individual units (or even an entire model line, sometimes) but I'm not sure any source can be relied upon any more. If you're not touching it you can't begin to be sure.
In a general sense what is being sought is a mobile office/workspace with living quarters. I think the OP is looking at the wrong end of the horse.
