Pick'd up a born free built for two

Found an 05....

first thing to go was the front rear bumpers, head lights, tail lights, tires and wheels ... upped the tires size to 235-85-16.

Why did you select a born free? I am still looking for my first. Right now I'm down to a coach house or Dynamax between 2005 and 2007.

I just sold a 2006 dynamax, it had the air ride rear suspension...it was just a little too big for us... it was the 230 model... we were told it measured 22' but when I got home it grew to 24'6''

I narrowed down to the born free...and chinook..I liked the born free better because of the dual power reclining sofa beds... and the rear entry... you'll get a argument out of which is better..

what ever you get , change the tires to 235-85-16s.... the ford tires are too small .... you'll get about 1mpg better mpg and way up the weight cap. on the tires... they also run cooler... it will slow the rpms down about 500.... the e450 has 456 gears and at 75 mph the motor is near 300 rpms

I am actually looking at a Dynamax 230 isata at a dealer at in Indiana. Do you really think 24 feet is too big? It's my first RV and it's really going to be just for myself, my wife doesn't plan on traveling with me just meeting me at certain locations. So it will be myself traveling from place to place. I've actually considered a 26-foot Born Free/CH/Dynamax isata but I'm concerned about length and handling.

what floor plan is the 230??? mine handled like a dream.....the built for two is better ... easier to park, and way easier to get around
