R-vision Trail Lite 293 (2007)

Hi,
We've been looking to move from our current travel trailer (micro minnie) to a B or a C. We found a Trail Lite 293 with a V8 engine and 50,000 miles. We'll have a professional inspector look it over, but I'm curious about
--how people feel about this line/model in general.
--why it's sometimes called a Class B+ when it seems it must actually be a C? --Any thoughts about changing from a 21 foot travel trailer to a 29 foot motorhome?
--We aren't very mechanical--is this something that will take a ton of ongoing tinkering to keep it going, or is it more like getting regular maintenance and having a good mechanic.
--We'd plan to drive this all over the US (we spent a year full time in our Micro Minnie) so we're looking for everyone's best guess of how it might perform. Thanks so much!!

-- They're OK.
-- The B+ isn't a recognized motorhome "class/type" according to the RVIA, and they're the ones making the rules for the industry. It's something some sales people and manufacturers created, because some folks simply don't want to get a "class C" for whatever reason, so they decided arbitrarily that if the class C didn't have the typical cab over bunkie, they looked a bit more like a van body, and dubbed them the mythical "class B+".
-- Maintenance, and mechanical and other failures, are part of the game. May yours be few and far between. Try to keep up on the annual stuff.
-- It's 14 years old with only 50,000 miles on it. Could mean it's been a garage/driveway queen. These things need to be used to stay in good mechanical shape. Definitely get the chassis inspected thoroughly. If it passes muster, it should do OK, but don't expect a lot of fuel economy, if it's a 6L V8 pulling a vehicle that probably weighs around 12,000 lbs empty. If you're ok with ~ 8mpg or less on average, you'll do fine.
Have fun.

Precaution

If you do get one, please take one small precaution. With electricity disconnected, go to the wiring panel and firmly tighten all connections. Takes very little effort, and can prevent a lot of possible problems.
