-- The B+ isn't a recognized motorhome "class/type" according to the RVIA, and they're the ones making the rules for the industry. It's something some sales people and manufacturers created, because some folks simply don't want to get a "class C" for whatever reason, so they decided arbitrarily that if the class C didn't have the typical cab over bunkie, they looked a bit more like a van body, and dubbed them the mythical "class B+".
-- Maintenance, and mechanical and other failures, are part of the game. May yours be few and far between. Try to keep up on the annual stuff.
-- It's 14 years old with only 50,000 miles on it. Could mean it's been a garage/driveway queen. These things need to be used to stay in good mechanical shape. Definitely get the chassis inspected thoroughly. If it passes muster, it should do OK, but don't expect a lot of fuel economy, if it's a 6L V8 pulling a vehicle that probably weighs around 12,000 lbs empty. If you're ok with ~ 8mpg or less on average, you'll do fine.
