Remove mattress cover from Travato 59K

Hello!

Has anyone removed the mattress cover from the beds in a Travato 59k? We would like to launder them but I’m worried that it will be a headache to stuff the mattress back into the cover!

Thanks if anybody has experience with this.

We have the Jayco Swift 20T. Same layout. We bought two mattresses from RV MATTRESS.COM.
Got rid of the ones that came with it. We also keep it as beds all the time.
One thing was on the passenger side the mattress stuck out due to the curves on the outer panels. I cut the mattress cover, cut the foam to the shape of the side (3 inches deep and 12 inches long at the forward section) , then re-sewed the cover. Used a mattress cover then bed sheets. Fits great and much more comfortable than the crappy foam covers that come with it.

Laundering Cushions regardless of size

The key to successfully laundering a cushion (regardless of size or shape) is to wash them in your washing machines on its cold-water cycle, then thoroughly rinse them out. Then, insert the cushion material into the shell while moist/almost thoroughly dried out. Never, and I repeat never, put the shell into a dryer and never allow the shell to dry out completely. The shell will shrink making it difficult if not impossible to get the filer material back into it. For small surface stains, I use our Bissel small steam cleaner (little green machine) on the material, then blot the area with a bath towel overnight. To immediately use the cushion after cleaning the stain, us a hair dryer to rapidly dry out the former stain.

Does anyone know the actual size of the mattress in a 2024 Travato 59K? I looked on RVMatresses.com and there are a lot of options. Thanks

Need to get good measurements. Ours are different on each side.
One thing you have to watch is the contours along the wall. My jayco has one on the passenger side at 3 inches. The mattress a stuck out so I needed to cut open the corner and cutting away the memory foam and sewing back together. Sounds scary but it's not. Just use fabric thread and a hook shape needle. We put a mattress protector over it anyway.

Our Travato is in storage 2K miles away so can't measure...... I was hoping to acquire mattress accessories prior to returning home in May. Always something else to do in the meantime.
