Sway Bar for Sprinter

I have a 2007 Dodge 2500 Sprinter with a 2008 Pleasure Way. It does not have a sway bar.

I am relatively new to RV travel and wondering if I should get a sway bar?

Is there anyone out there that has experience with pre and post sway bar installation travel who can advise on whether or not it makes enough of a difference to warrant the installation? Thank you

What do you mean by a "sway bar"? Part of the Sprinter suspension, or perhaps some add-on device for trailer towing? And why do you think you need one? Are you experiencing handling problems?

I've seen the term applied to weight-distributing hitches, anti-roll bars, steering stabilizers, panhard rods and what not. Generally an anti-roll bar or stabilizer is designed into the suspension if needed.

If you feel it's rolling side to side an anti sway bar may be the way to go.

Amazon and Etrailer sell them, if available fir your chassis.

I have a 2021 Tiffin Sprinter on a 2020 Mercedes chassis.I added Agile off Road shocks and a Helwig sway bar (which replaced the Mercedes sway bar. I also had it aligned. All of that made a huge difference in the handling. Have no idea if they would fit yours, but you might try calling each company.

We replaced our OEM swaybar literally just yesterday with a Hellwig Sway Bar on our 2018 Winnie Era sprinter extended wheelbase 4x4. With all that weight hanging behind the rear duallies there was always too much play in the suspension, even after adding the Agile kit (heavy duty leaf springs, Fox shocks). The improvement after the Hellwig was installed was immediate and pronounced, even just on the routine drive home. I only regret is that I waited so long to get it. Major improvement.
