Truma Combi--recommendations for fresh water treatment?

Rookie question for you all: The Truma Combi water/cabin heater indicates that we should not use chorine based water treatments, but does not give any recommended alternatives. I looked thru a lot of treatments, and they were all, no surprisingly, based on chlorine.

Any ideas or is treating fresh water with something like Camco TastePure not really needed.

Does this help?

https://www.truma.com/uk/en/faq/deca...a-combi-heater

I also saw Puriclean mentioned on some UK based forums, but I don't see it for sale anywhere in North America.
Suggest emailing Truma for answers.
