Winnebago Aux Solar Port Fuse Recall
Has anyone had this done? I just got my second notice and would like to do the repair myself as I did with the Overhead Cabinet recall on my ERA. I'm hoping someone knows what fuse and if they just wire in an inline fuse holder.
Thanks,

.
I have a Winnie PASEO with the same recall. I believe it's just a simple fuse like you said. However, I'm not sure what circuit/wire harness to start looking at. It's not worth the hassle of returning to a dealer to let them fiddle around with it for however long they would take.

Does your ERA have an auxilliary solar panel port (for adding a portable panel to your existing factory solar array, whatever that might be?) in one of the ground level external storage compartments or near the electrical/water bays, if applicable? If you don't have the extra port to plug in a portable panel, you're probably not affected, but try sending an email to Winnebago or@winnebagoind.com asking them to run your VIN, just to be sure it isn't on the list.

You might have missed that I said “I just got my second notice”. My aux solar port is on the passenger rear quarter panel by the outside 120v outlet. I have dealt with Winnebago support when my touchscreen controller broke Under warranty. They were excellent with walking me through diagnostics (which I had already done) and then sent me a new one to self-install. I hate to bother them with this so I’m hoping someone had it done and knows what it entailed.

Missed it by a mile. My bad.
Here's some useful info, perhaps?

As I would expect, it's just an inline fuse that can handle the approximate output of a 150W panel.

15 amp it is!
Thanks. That is exactly what I was looking for and it is a solution that makes sense.

I added a fused 2ft cable to extend the solar port plug from way back in the electrical bay to the front to make it easier to connect my portable panel. Also keeps the fuse accessible. Regards, Mike

Great idea. I don't know why they put stuff all the way inn the back of the comparment. I added a short piece of coax to make it easier to hook up to c/g cable TV, if available.
