2007 fan clutch replacement

We purchased a 2007 Coachman Sportscoach Legend 40QS and have discovered it overheats when driven for longer than about 30 minutes. The fan clutch does not appear to engage. I unplugged the 2 wire cable from The clutch and the fan did NOT turn on, go to high speed. It turns slowly when running. Our bedroom hatch is over the engine head and it is not easy to reach the fan. I pulled the air cleaner out, driver's side, still not rasy to reach. Has anyone changed fan clutch on similar model? Fyi 400hp Cummins 8.9L.

Replaced Horton fan clutch in 2008 Discovery. Had to remove Rad, CAC to gain access to fan clutch.
If more info needed e-mail. You may want to go to a direct drive high- performance fan and delete Horton fan clutch.

Here is my failed fan saga... https://www.irv2.com/forums/f26/fan-...-511817-2.html. see post #24 for the solution to my problem. Replaced it with a spacer and hi-perf fan from Larry at Superior Turbo. Get rid of the clutch, its too small and will fail again.

Thanks to both replies. We had reservations in Florida so I had Cummins Evansville IN replace. They did a hood job. However, $900 for clutch from Freightliner and $6200 total for install. Had to remove radiator, Trans cooler, tow hitch. I had them replace water pump while they were there as adder was minimal.
At least not overheating now..
Thanks

OMG...I'm so sad for you. This is outrageous! I feel so fortunate that I was able to do mine DIY after cutting an access hole in the shroud (re-sealed with sheet metal cover). Job took about 2 hours.

I do recommend the Horton Guard Dog Speed Control added to the wiring harness. I installed one a year or so later and have noticed an improvement in the cooling operation.

Speed control?

Rich. I suggested to cut hole in shroud from reading posts. They did not think it would help. Do you have 2 wire fan clutch or 4 wire,? Mine is 2 wire.
Thanks

That's a shame they didn't follow your suggestion as it would have made the replacement accessible from the top in short order.

I have a 2 wire clutch.
