AccessFreightliner help

Can anyone give me the steps to go through in order to get logged into AccessFreightliner to be able to get information on my Freightliner chassis? I tried a Search but couldn't get any help there.

Thanks

I think you have to be a member of the Freightliner Chassis Owners Club division of the FMCA. The Freightliner logon help desk is phone # 855-639-8680

You do not have to be a member of any group. Are you registered as the owner with FL? If not call the hotline and they will email you a form. Fill it out and email it. Takes about 2 weeks and FL will send you an email with instructions. One would think it was some secret society with all you have to do! The website for Access FL is not very user friendly.

I am both a FCOC and a FMCA member so I always thought it would be a snap to register on AccessFreightliner but I'm not having much luck, and I also tried a couple of times a year or so ago also with no luck.

I take it all back, I had not logged on in some time so I tried again with Internet Explorer as suggested and was able to access the the Parts Pro Allocation. You will need the last 6 charters of your VIN to do this. Then you can pull up a lot of data and scroll through the potions to find parts and part numbers that you need. It is slow by trial and error works. I found the actual serial number on the CAT engine that I had been looking for.

Still exploring.

Web site is designed to operate on Internet Explorer. I have used it for several years with both IE and Firefox. Logon now is only successful with IE.

Illustrated parts breakdown is handy, and it's easy to get part numbers and wiring diagrams. If you do not use the site for a period of time, your account can be closed.

IE, that's good information. I had tried on Firefox with much trouble. Will try on IE, which I generally use very little.

Shows - IE 7 or 8
Once you logon, site shows configuration requirements for access.
Has specifics for hardware requirements, general settings, browser settings, active X, security, etc etc

Not all of these settings are not necessary to use the basic features of the site.

I finally found the "Request logon" page but now the questions are confusing me. What do I use in the following blanks:
Type of Business: Owner operator or Other
Company Name: ??? Am I a company
Is there multiply locations or satellite offices
Identify the Daimier Trucks dealer you do business with
Business phone number and e-mail
Primary contact: Name and title
Secondary Contact: Name, title, phone number and e-mail (what happens if they call me (assuming I should use my home phone number?

I'm assuming all the blanks must be filled in for them to assign me a login ID and Password in order use the system.

Any help from the AccessFreightliner experts greatly appreciated.

It just so happened I was on Freightliner's page last night. Here is the page under the heading Contact me. Just click in the link below and it will put you there. The cite will walk you through the remaining requirements. Have the last 5 or 6 numbers of your vin ready to identify your chassis. Once that's done ,smooth sailing. This will work, I tested it myself. Good luck!

Good luck
