Air hose fitting

Hi all

I tried to connect my garage air hose to the air connector on my Excursion but it would not fit. I have searched my manual but I can’t find where is says which type fitting it takes... any ideas?

Although I don't have direct experience with your Excursion, I doubt it has a unique fitting. On my Tiffin Bus, the two ports I tried to hook up to were very difficult to connect as well. Since I put the fittings on, I knew they were correct, but with air pressure on the Tiffin system, getting the hose to connect was extremely difficult. I ended up putting a quarter turn ball valve just before each of these fittings. Normally off, the hose now connects very easily and then a quarter turn on the valve charges the hose. As I recall, total cost for the project was less than $15 for the valves and a few fittings, for both air line taps.

There are 4 types of fittings and three look the same.

You need to figure out which one you have.Click image for larger version

Go to Harbor freight, buy a red one and a blue one. One of them fit, I don't remember off hand what color fits the Itasca, I cary both in the MH so I can fit other peoples tools and equipment.

My HF has bulk fittings male and female, they have a color band on them to help identify matching fittings. ~$1.30 ea
