Back brakes heating up. Help

I was driving my last 130 miles of a 400 mile journey. I stopped for gas, I pulled my DP emergency break out, and I forgot and left it in Drive and shut off the engine. When I started the coach a red in drive light flashed up on my dash screen. My 2021 Tiffin 33AA DP seemed sluggish when I pulled out? Pick up off the line seemed slow. Later on my TPMS High Temperature gauges came on. It seems like my back breaks on my inner tires were still on, or partially on. The temp reached 237 Degrees on the right and 239 on the left.

Could me forgetting to put the shifter in Neutral some how caused the air breaks to lock up in back?

I drove 2K miles. I am in Colorado Springs and leave on a Fantasty tour in two days.

Leaving the trans in gear when shutting off the engine will have had no effect on the park brake operation.

What can cause the rear brakes to drag , is low air pressure to the spring applied , air pressure released park brake mechanism .
Are the air pressure gauges showing normal pressure 90/110 psi ?

A second possible issue would be the " S " cam shaft that runs from the activation chamber to the brake shoes , binding due to lack of lubrication ; but for both sides to react the same at the single park brake application, would be odd to say the least. .

The rear brake operation needs to be inspected and tested by a mechanic with a complete knowledge of air brake systems .

Excellent advice!

AND, you need to have this checked, diagnosed and fixed before driving more than to a place to have them checked.

Something is WRONG.

I drove the coach 17 miles one way today. The breaks did not heat up. But my right air pressure on the dash seemed slow to reach max.

I have been sitting at a Freightliner dealer since 7 am this morning waiting for someone to check my beak system. It's like an 6 hr wait.

Will let you know how I make out.

Well was at Freightliner and had everything checked out. Disc breaks on the front good, read drum brakes also good. Checked out all my air lines, test drove then took it back to she shop again.

One thing I didn't take into consideration, we are about 5K ft above sea level and going higher. The air is thinner up here. They say it also affects the power of the coach.

Off we go........
