Camp Freightliner I 2018 class dates were posted today
I posted this over in the Class A Motorhome section, but I guess I probably should have put it here really.......
If you wanted to attend Camp Freightliner I class in 2018, I checked the site this evening and it looks like there are many dates available now for 2018. I thought the dates were supposed to be released October 1st (tomorrow), but I guess they did it early.
https://www.fcccrv.com/event/camp-fr...ffney-sc-2018/ (link fixed)
As an aside, I asked about booking Freightliner II right up against Freightliner I and apparently the way they schedule these classes it is almost always not possible. They only do Freightliner II in their slow winter months because the Freightliner II class takes up a stall for a large period of time and they don't have the capacity to do that outside of the January/early February time frame.

Sorry! I cut and pasted from the post I put over in the Class A forums. I guess the URL doesn't cut and paste.

If you are reasonably close to Gaffney at least get on a wait list. I did and got called on a Tue for a Thur class. But I'm only an hour away. The class is worth every penny and more.

OK, signed up for a Camp Freightliner class.
Tried to call the Gaffney KOA for reservation but their telephone numbers from their website are no longer valid. Have they closed?

No need to stay at KOA. The Freightliner service center has about 25 sites with 50 amp electric, right behind the shop. There is also a single dump station and potable water, too.
No charge to stay there, either.

I had read that but since first-come-first-serve I didn't want to miss a spot and end up 50 miles away

I've been to Freightliner in Gaffney 5 times. Took the Camp Freightliner course twice and the other three times were for the annual scheduled inspection and maintenance. I have always found a place to park in their lot...even when arriving late at night.

Thank you for posting. I got signed up for a mid-April date and it will be my first annual maintenance.

Have you heard if they're doing any classes on the West Coast in 2018? There aren't any on their website.

I have not. However they are pretty responsive to e-mails and phone calls. I'd contact them directly and see what they say.
