Camp Freightliner Las Vegas
Newbie question here. We are still hopeful that we will be picking up our new to us 2007 Allegro 40' QSP Bus FL by the end of July. Camp Freightliner will be in Vegas the beginning of August. Do you guys think it would be worth attending this early in our MH adventure, or should we wait to attend after we have a little experience with her. We live on the left coast, still have to work a few more years, not sure when we could get to Gaffney?

If you have the opportunity to attend Camp Freightliner NOW ..... Go for it!
There is never a too early BUT there is a too late.
Mike Cody will take you through the course and from the very beginning, the course assumes that you know nothing about diesel powered motorhomes. At the end of day 2 you will have a full working knowledge of what's going on under the floor that directly affects you, how to make good decisions in regard to problem determination and how to go about getting a problem resolved in the quickest time possible.
I would therefore highly recommend and urge you to attend Camp Freightliner at your earliest convenience.
Tell Mike that Mike from iRV2 says hello!

I think Camp Freightliner should be a prerequisite to owning a FL chassis motorhome. If you can't attend this one, get to one as quickly as you can. Program this number in your cell phone...1-800-385-4357. That is the FL help line that is answered 24/7/365 with FL employees that can be a wonderful resource.

By all means, attend if you can. It is better to go into something a little informed, then to have no knowledge at all. Besides, what you forget from hour 1, you can pick up the nice book they give you and read all the notes you have penned on the sidebars.
Good luck, and happy trails.
And if you want to start a riff with Mike Cody, tell him the Allison 2500 transmission shifts into 6th gear at 56 mph when in economy mode. (LOL)

If you can't sign up for one of the ones in West consider attending on in Gaffney as soon as possible. Even if you haven't picked you rig up yet it will put you miles and years ahead. I plan to attend next month in Oregon. This will be my second one and I hope my retention will improve. At least this time I will be prepared for the shock and awe of information. Mike Cody is an outstanding instructor.

We are all signed up and planning to attend, DW will be there too. Since our coach is still very new to us I have not had a chance to get it to a scale. Any chance there will be one there to use?
