Cannot find replacement parts for 2000 Freightliner XCS chassis with solid front axle

Apparently Freightliner used a supplier for it's front end suspension parts that is no longer in business. This companies Part numbers all start with DSP. I have contacted Freightliner and they have no replacement parts suggestions. So if you have a 2000 XCS chassis with solid front axle be prepared to have your coach sit at a repair shop for quite a length of time while they try to remove the parts and match them up with someone elses part numbers. So far my shop has not been able to find any replacements. If anyone knows where I can get assistance please let me know. DTNA connect just has the DSP part numbers.

Please tell us manufacturer and model of your axle (likely on a metal tag in the center of the axle itself).

Also, what part you need.

Number of miles on coach?

front end parts not found

Looks like it is a Meritor FC-965 or FD-965 front axle. I need all the wear items like rubber bushings. My coach only has 85,000 miles on it but it is 20 years old and rubber deteriorates over time.

A quick Google search brings up Meritor as a current supplier. Anyone call them? I would think that axle parts would be available...but I'm not the one looking so....

LucyJean....it would be great for you to fill out your profile info and ad a signature tag line that shows what you're driving. Good luck.
