CGM Viewer for Access Freightliner DTNA

Just got my login for DTNA and when looking up schematics it said that I did not have CGM Viewer so I clicked on it and got it installed. I'm using Windows 10. Restarted computer, tried on Google Chrome, and Microsoft Edge and it still comes up that I don't have CGM Viewer. Uninstalled it and reinstalled it with the same problem.

Has anyone else had this problem; and how do you fix it.

I had to use MS Internet Explorer and add the Larsens viewer it requests. I have heard Chrome works also, but havent tried. I do know Firefox dont work.

CGM Viewer for Access Freightliner DTNA

The somewhat antiquated system they use will only work with Internet Exploder and the CGM Viewer, whatever that is. I use this system with IE, and it is the ONLY thing I use Internet Exploder for.

I don’t know why they can’t present their diagrams in the Adobe PDF file format...like the rest of the world does.

Agreed IE 10. And no not antiquated - just cost lots of money to certified your system (Drawing) will work with ALL browsers.

After installing Internet Explorer 11 I was able to login and look around. Found the wiring diagrams which I was most interested in. They're in a TIFF format and was able to print them out. Most were readable but a few had too much info on the page and had to read with a magnifying glass. Wanted to save to flash drive to print on larger paper but that was unsuccessful.

Pulled up a page on parts but it appeared to just have a form to fill out. Is there anyone who has had more experience with Access Freightliner (DTNA) that could comment or can suggest where to look?

John. I had the same problem. I got so frustrated I gave up. It still doesn't work and I struggle with navigating the site. I know this doesn't help but you aren't the only one that can't make it work.

You might try converting the TIFF into a PDF. Open the converted file with a recent Adobe Reader, go into print, change format to a poster then scale how big. Tick the cut marks to show how many pages you have. When satisfied, hit print. Then it's a puzzle putting them together as one big picture. It's a few steps, but in a pinch it works. I had some distortion, but it was readable. I have also done screen prints using the Snipper Tool in Windows, saved as JPG then converted to PDF. These seemed to be clearer than TIFF.

I also gave up. Tried twice. If I really need a diagram I'm going to call them.
