Check Engine J1939 fault

Hello
I have a 2008 Cummins engine and allison 6 speed,The check engine light comes on and says no j1939 data.My gauges go from normal to zero and back to normal,I lose my cruise, trans keypad, and turbo. After startng the engine its normal for an hour and starts doing the same thing again,it still runs fine so is somthing heating up such as the ecm,or loose wire.

First, welcome to iRV2. Glad to have you join us.

You're on the right track. The J1939 error indicates loss of communication on the electronic data bus. This could be a loose connector, an intermittent wire fault or a multitude of other problems. Good luck in chasing it down!
