Check Engine Sign

Hi Guys
I have a check engine sign on 2012 Coachman Sportscoach. Should I take it to local diesel shop or freight liner shop. I have extended warranty on the the coach. Thank you in advance

Does your coach have the ability to tell you what the code number is. Many coaches, you can scroll through the dash and see a diagnostics screen. If you have one, you can call Freightliner with the code and they'll tell you what it means. Sometimes, they're just a stray code that will go out after so many run cycles of the engine. Even if it's something else, it may be something simple like a coolant sensor.

Hi
I called freightliner and they walked me how to check the code. Had a recall on Def sensors. Freightliner service center fixed it. Thanks

Hi Guys
Update got CEL again on the motor home. Now it’s NOX censor. Regen did not happen. Warranty covered some and have to pay the difference. Thanks

Double check the length of your warranty on this....smog systems have a longer warranty and many shops play stupid, when it should be a free repair.
