Cummings Tuner / Performance Increases

I have a 2010 Tiffin Allegro Open Road that is on a Freightliner Chassis with Cummings Engine.

Is there such a thing as a tuner or other mods for increased HP/Torque?

I googled them, it took me to their Facebook page, and I messaged them.

What is the best and easiest way to figure that out? The manual doesn't specify and I can't seem to see anything from the front of the engine. I do think I saw a serial number, but what could I do with it to find out?

With the engine serial number, sign up for Cummins Quikserv and you can get everything you need or want including recalls, parts, etc.

I just installed an AG engineering box on my 06 Freightliner with 5.9. 505.00 of amazon, made a good different just running it on the 10% increase setting. I believe the model number was 12000.

Check your Allison Transmission model and ratings .

Many times to reduce cost , coach manufacturers order transmissions that are the bare minimum for the engine's factory performance settings , and chipping the engine can push the trans past it's limits to the point of failure.

Craig , in case you didn't catch on to NevadaNick's reference , there is no G , in Cummins, The engines get their name from the invertor . Although many times autocorrect will try and add one .

That'll do 450HP and 1250 ftlbs torque max ratings.

If your having trouble determining engine type , call Freightliner's free help line with your chassis serial number , when I called ( 10 years ago when I got my F/L chassis ), they provided engine serial number , trans serial number , even differential model and serial number info .

1-800-385-4357

All info from F/L is good to get and keep on hand as as our chassis age , the amount of info is getting harder to get . F/L is slowly reducing the info on older chassis .
