Desperate!!! Need A/C condenser
Our AC Condensor on our 2015 Dutch Star failed and have been trying to get it fixed. Freightliner cannot supply the part, for some reason. Trying to get the part or a solution since August last year.
Everywhere we go we are striking out, including FL corporate.
Any ideas???? Pretty tough to drive without AC in the summer.
Part: akg39130196000
Any advice would be helpful..

Your roof A/C should keep it plenty cool until you figure out the dash a/c fix.
We run the generator and roof a/c(s) with a fan on the floor pushing cold air to the front. Keeps it cool while driving in 100*+ heat. The dash a/c can’t keep it cool on it’s own anyway.

If you can’t find the same condenser get the one you have repaired at a radiator shop or get a replacement that’s about the same size. Most a/c fittings are the same.

Not sure what condenser you're speaking of. If for dash a/c system, I use coldhose.com for my parts.
(I see Wild Card just posted before me. In any case....we agree on Cold Hose. They're great)

Why do you think it is a Freightliner Part? and not the OEM item

1) Because FL told me it was defective and gave me a part number
2) Because FCCC Sr management and I have been in contact over the past few months and the said that it is on backorder.
3 ) Because the motorhome has a Freightliner Chassis and they own the solution. Since i hung up my Snapon tools when i was 20, paid over $300k for this MH, it should not be on me to distinguish between a Freightliner cataloged part and a component manufacturer they use.
4) As my post states a FL part number given to me by FL so why would i assume anything else.

Did you ever get this part ? I'm in the same situation right now. Mine can't be repaired apparently and I can't locate a (reasonably priced) replacement

LOL... Not that simple... Believe me.. That part does not exist. FL switched suppliers back last fall. Can't purchase the condensor by itself. Must buy the whole pack. $4,155.00

Yes I contacted AGA and just got a quote on a new AKG 3913 019 6000 for $1883 including shipping. It is out of stock though with a 60 to 85 day wait time.
Worst case this may be best option.
In the meantime I'm going to start looking at RV Salvage yards ... maybe there is a side radiator Newmar/freightliner that has an intact AC condenser for less $$
Any leads would be appreciated!!
