I'm not sure exactly what question you are asking. If there are chassis diagnostic tests which Freightliner "owns", I'm not aware of them. If, on the other hand, your question is about error codes, here is some information that might help you.
My Freightliner Chassis, like many other trucks and heavy machines is run on a Controller Area Network (CAN). The CAN has specific protocols, message formants, etc. which allows the chassis, engine, transmission to communicate with each other. There is a diagnostic port on mine under the driver's seat in an electrical compartment. I bought the VMSpc package from SilverLeaf Electronics which provides a cable to plug into that diagnostic port, a "JIB" box which translates the data traffic to something usable by a laptop computer and an output serial cable. I also purchased a serial-to-usb adapter from SilverLeaf which allows me to plug into my laptop's usb and, using their software application, to monitor specific gauges, etc. In addition, the VMSpc application captures all fault codes set and maintains a history of them. Those codes are displayed according the the CAN format but include English words which describe the nature of the fault. Using the fault code from a particularly nasty symptom (exhaust brake shuts down engine), I was able to identify a wiring problem and buy a diode patch. I used my VMSpc wiring to help a friend diagnose a problem which was setting a check engine light on his coach, too.
Is this what you were looking for?
