I have my 2016 Fleetwood Excursion 35B at the dealer for a diff leak and asked if they could turn off that feature. They called back and said it was prohibited for them to make a change with software or cutting the wire or such.
Hope they can do the HP upgrade...

I figured they might be restricted to modify it. If they would just point to the wire.......

I did ask them for a copy of the pertinent wiring diagram. Hope it is not too deep to place a diode.

You have a brake controller with the M&G system??🤔

NN thanks. I was just wondering if I was missing something on my install. I love the M&G system.

Brake Light recall

Noticed a recall listed in my FMCA mag about Freightliner brake output to the towed vehicle plug sticking, causing the towed vehicle to drag or ruin the brakes/tires.

Wonder if NOW they would consider letting the Dealer cut that dang wire!

M&G will fit on the Jeep, you have to do a little cut and remove.

We installed a RoadMaster Invisibrake and corresponding diode kit in our Jeep Rubicon, and very satisfied with the performance. When exhaust brake kicks in the Toad brakes activate for 15 seconds then cutout, but the brake lights remain illuminated as long as exhaust brake and coach brake lights are on. No problems here.

Problem solved for our 2016 Fleetwood Excursion 35B using the SMI Stay N Play brake controller. It was very simple actually. The connector at the base of the steering column has the brake signal wire and an output wire from a brake controller to the trailer brakes.
This circuit is not affected by the engine retarder.

Our Jeep has the factory harness installed for the rear lights to be isolated and powered by the tow vehicle, this made the wiring a bit easier overall believe it or not.
At the towed connector at the front of the Jeep, the added factory harness installs to turn, brake, tail, power and ground.
The trailer brake, blue wire has now been established as an input from the moho.

The SMI wiring instructions has the brake activating signal using the brake/turn LIGHT signal.
These two wires have now been moved to the trailer brake activation signal at the tow lead. The adjustment slider on the pendulum for the activator is set a bit on the loose side. That way if just doing a slight touch of the brakes will not activate the Jeep but a bit more will get some inertia action and can see the brake lights turn on.

Had my wife sit in the Jeep and drove around checking it all out, this worked out fine for me.
We had the Prodigy controller installed and will make a jumper to make the change between the two simple and easy. It is one or the other, they both can not be in the circuit at one time.

Interesting - isn't the blue output a variable voltage based on inertia of your prodigy? Is the SMI OK with that? Maybe I missed something. I ask because I also have the prodigy in my MH I could use.
