Freightliner Brake Controller Harness??

Does anyone know where to find the controller harness/pigtail to plug into the chassis wiring? I got a part number from Freightliner and the only place I can find it is through a Freightliner dealer for $140, yes that's one hundred forty.

I've checked Hopkins, Curt, and Tekonsha with no luck. I hate to cut the factory plug off to splice my controller in.

Thanks for any help.

JMHO: At $140, cut and splice.

Tekonsha, would be my first choice for a trailer brake controller.

Thanks Bob, I'll give them a call. Just want to verify the part since it doesn't give any type of description.

bobder41, where did you locate the brake controller harness/connector in your 2016 Expedition?

I looked for mine in my 2016 Expedition 38K by the steering column but could not locate it, did you have to take the instrument panel off or were you able to access it by going under the steering column/brake pedal?

Mine wasn't labeled, but had a protective cap on the plug. It was just hanging under the dash behind the steering column. I was able to put a tracer tone on the rear plug to verify the plug under the dash.

Rebel - Thanks as I have a tone generator for electrical/phone work sitting in my tool kit. I used it this morning and found the connector sitting on top of the steering column in no time. Like yours mine did not have a label and it also had a protective cap.
