Freightliner "Check Brake Fuse" Possible Remedy

We have 2013 Phaeton 42LH. our most recent trip resulted in this message "CHECK BRAKE FUSE" within seconds of pressing the brake every time. Then of course check engine which both cleared almost immediately after releasing brake. Same alert when engine brake was engaged, because of course the brake lights illuminate when this happens. Found what may be the issue. (BTW system voltage on dash display always showed 13.8-14.0 so it shouldn't be an LV problem.) In the compartment on the left side exterior below driver seat, is a Freightliner fuse compartment. One of these are labeled "STOP LAMP POWER" 20A. Isn't really a fuse but a mini circuit breaker. When I pulled this it generated the "check brake fuse" and when replaced it cleared. Checking with a meter the breaker seems fine, BUT I exchanged it with the "TURN SIG POWER" bkr, just above (same size) and the problem went away. I could step on the pedal as long as I wanted without fault. I exchanged them again and the problem came back. Now the brake lights worked even when the fault shows, but for whatever reason exchanging the 2 made problem go away, at least for now. I'm going to pick up a replacement just in case. It is not a Freightliner issue it is a Tiffin issue. The problem is that because of the way the window is designed and the fact that there is no gutter th water runs down the track and overwhelms the weep holes running into the coach and then down into the electrical compartment. This has caused all the electrical components to corrode with the above issue one of the problems. I had this problem and Tiffin corrected the problem by installing a gutter and changing the corroded electrical components (except those refered to in the post). Today 3/15/2022 I checked the Freightliner fuse box reference in the post and found a fuse/circuit breaker badly corroded. I replace it and now will wait to see if the "check brake fuse" warning goes away. I will update this post.

Fuse panel label

My 2012 Phaeton QBH just showed the “Check Brake Fuse” on the dash. Looked in compartment under Driver . Fuse panel on left side is exposed and no labels. Looks like possibly a previous owner lost the cover. Trying to determine which fuse to check. Do you have a picture of yours you could share. Tiffin says check with Freightliner. Freightliner says they do not provide that information to the public. Help!
