Freightliner-Gaffney appointment
We have a service appointment in Gaffney next week. This will be our first trip there. We plan on arriving the night before and hooking up there. Has anyone had difficulty getting a spot to hook up? Also not familiar with the area. Are there things to do in the area or good restaurants we should visit? Thanks.

The sites are electric only. Sites are easy to back into. You pick your site then report the site number to the reg desk so they know which site you are in. Make sure you dump your black and gray thanks before arriving. If you need fresh water there is a fill as you enter the lot. Plenty of shopping near by if you want to kill time while service is being done but you will need your toad for that. Also you can register for the factory tour which is very interesting

There's also a dump in the same place as the fresh water fill...

What DC21 said.
I'll add that there was a dump station on site when I was there last June, so I was able to dump my tanks when I arrived.
Also, they will put a "reserved" notice on site number signs for coaches that have been pulled into a bay for the day, so don't park in one of those sites.
I had some difficulty finding the place with Google Maps. They are partially behind another building and not visible if you approach from one direction, if I remember correctly.

If they are going to be busy the next day, it can be difficult finding an open spot if you arrive too late. Get there as early in the afternoon as possible.

If you have a toad visit the Cowpens & King Mountain Battlefields. Lots of American history there. Factory tour is also worth your time.

I've never had a problem getting a site there, but I usually arrive in mid-late afternoon. We'll be there in a couple weeks .
Right up the hill from the service facility is a restaurant called Fatz Cafe. Makes for a convenient meal after a long drive. https://fatz.com/

Follow up. Arrived last Tuesday afternoon for a Wednesday morning appointment. Was able to get a spot without difficulty. There are about 24 spots of which half were used. Very friendly people at the service center and they did a great job.
