I have a 2008 Tiffin on a Freightliner "FRED" chassis.

My maintenance manual included with the RV is pretty good for general upkeep but for in-depth info, it keeps referring me to a "Freightliner Recreational Vehicle Workshop Manual"

Does anyone know where I can get one? I can't find one on DTNA (plus, that site uses some plug-in that never seems to work).

I've seen vendors on Ebay that claim to have the Freightliner Recreational Vehicle Workshop Manual on CD-Rom but I am very dubious of vendors like that.

Anyways, if knows where the workshop manual can be purchased, I'd appreciate it.

This is the first time I've ever heard of such an animal. I'm following this too. It would be nice to have such help when I'm doing some in-depth repair/maintenance/alteration etc.

I went to Ebay. This manual is there. It's electronic only on a pdf file they email to you from Isreal. $30 is a good price. It's for ISB engines and 2000mh Allisons.
I'm Watching it.
I'd bought it but I have a ISL and 3000mh tranny. Balance of manual would work for me. Paper manuals are easier to use but are bulky.

I saw that one, too. I'd just go ahead and get it but I'm concerned they might be selling the widely-available maintenance manual and not the workshop manual. People seem to keep confusing the two. Even on this thread folks get them mixed up.

I've been debating whether or not I'm willing to gamble 30 bucks to find out of this is a scam or not.

I didn't see any links to any manual. So, I went cruising around on ebay and found this one:

Same manual I downloaded off their web site. Pretty decent overview of all the systems and good enough for what I need. Thanks for sharing

That isn't the 'workshop' manual. But this is a good manual for general maintenance knowledge.

UPDATE: I went ahead and got the manual from the seller in Israel. Transaction went well and I was able to download the manual right away.

However.

I have a 2008 Front-Engine Diesel (FRED) Freightliner and this manual pretty much ignores my particular chassis. I didn't see that coming! A waste of 30 bucks for me.

Now I'm wondering what manual I need for my particular rig.
