Before you spend that kind of money on those caps, I bought mine for my Discovery at this website, for $4.58 apiece! They fit perfectly and stay on. I know about I-40 and a lot of other roads from MI. to AZ. I can't get this damn computer to copy and paste the link, so you will have to do it yourself. www.truckchrome.com

Gentlemen, before you spend that kind of money, you might want to check out this website. www.truckchrome.com. I have a Discovery 37v and had lost 2 on a trip back from AZ. We have made the trip every winter with the Discovery, for the last 4 years and have not lost them yet.

This is probably going to get posted 3 times, but before you spend the kind of money you've been talking, for $4.58, they are available at, www.truckchrome.com I have them on my Discovery 37v, they have been on for 3 years. I drive from MI. to AZ for the winter. Just make sure you know which one your buying, as they have different slots that let them fit.

They didn't have a very good description of them but I rolled the dice and ordered two of them. I will post the results when I get them in.

Freightliner people at FMAC rally in Florida told me that Fleetwood did not put them on the front as they want you to check oil levels on hubs. I bought a 2008 Discovery 40X and there was none on it. Anyone know what the real story is?

The new ones finally came in and I installed them last week. I had to modify the new ones with some tin snips. Went on a trip from Phoenix to San Diego and back and the are still on.

Got to tell you, sandcar, they look real good. I was very impressed when I ordered mine. Mine have made 4 round trips from MI. to AZ. even if you lose one your know your not going to have to mortage the farm to replace them.

Greatone, did you have to trim the tabs with tin snips like I did?

Hi, sandcar.
No, I didn't. I was surprised when I read your post that you did. When I ordered mine, I checked my wheels and realized there were slots. Sorry, I don't remember now how many, but when they arrived they fit perfectly. I've had them off and on 3 times, and still have not lost one.

I lost one recently. While I was at the Freightliner dealer having my service done I saw they had aftermarket caps available for right around $10.00. Mine took a 4 slot opening.
