Issue with Freightliner service

Called my local Freightliner service facility to have some work done and they informed me that they don't work on any coaches older than 2015 (7 years). Is this Freightliner wide or just the one in Dayton Ohio??

It is probably just something that shop has decided to do.

This has come up a couple of other times this year here. It's up to the individual shop what they will and won't work on. Call again and you'll probably get a different answer. Call someplace else and they probably won't even mention it. There's no rhyme or reason to it. Many big trucks on the road are older than 7 years. They wouldn't be in business very long if they didn't work on older vehicles. New ones don't break nearly as often.

I think that is just the one in Dayton, OH, Stoops I think, I got the same response when I wanted to schedule Mx for this year. They even refused to help me with transferring the chassis into my name. I did check with the Oasis Service Center in Columbus and they said come on down, and took care of the transfer of ownership over the phone. Ultimately I decided to give Cummins Coach Care in West Chester a try.

Freightliner in Reno-Sparks, NV, Velocity Truck Center, has been pretty decent to deal with for issues with our 2007 Tiffin FRED. The service dept isn't great about returning calls, but, once you're there, they are good folks to deal with.

I think all the service centers are Independent service centers. I would think they make up these rules as they go, as long as it fits within their master agreement with Frightliner?
