National Tropical Fuel Filter Location

I have a 2005 National Tropical 370LX on a Freightliner Chassis and I cannot find the fuel filter. I have looked in every compartment and under the engine hatch and no luck. Does anyone know where it is located?

I assume you have a Cat C7. Should be on top of the engine on the drivers side. Crawl under and look up top. It can be changed from underneath. I would call Freightliner Help line with your Vin and they can tell you if there is only one filter or 2.

Yes. Cat C7. I assumed it would be more accessible for regular service/water draining, etc.

i didn't call freightliner yet because I figured the coachbuilder might have positioned it.

I'll take a look.

Thanks

I have an 05 T350lx, the primary filter is behind the right rear wheel on a bracket outside the frame rail. If you open the compartment behind the wheel you should see it. The secondary filter is on the engine, passenger side up high. I go through the bedroom floor access panel.

homecan The secondary filter is on the top on the passenger side. I was wrong. The primary could be anywhere as it is remote mounted. Sorry for the wrong advice.
