justintime,
While your rig is a bit "older" than most on this site, some of the items/issues still apply. That port, is difficult to locate on many of our rigs, regardless of what year/make/model.

Most of us with the diesel units and, a Freightliner chassis, have that diagnostic port, stuck on the fire wall, about 6" to a foot, to the left of the steering column. It's usually behind about 10 miles of wiring and looms which, makes it seriously hard to locate while trying to hold a Los Angelus Freeway system of wires and looms out of the way and, laying on your side 'cause there's no room between the driver seat and the bottom of the dash.

Is it there on yours, who knows? It could be or, it might not be. But, it's maybe a place to start looking too. Good luck.
Scott

It is possible that you do not have a data connector on a 91 model.

Vehicles built prior to 1996 (OBDII) can have various ports or no ports at all. I used to own a 94 Mustang. As I recall, the port was behind the glove box and didn't look anything like todays OBDII port.

I would look under the engine cover above the left valve cover, there should be a section of harness that leaves the engine and heads towards the firewall. The connector does not look like an obd2 connector, it's a 6 pin and a separate single pin connector specific to early fords. It may be taped up and/or in a plastic cover/shroud that makes it hard to see.

My Tiffin 2003 was the bane of my desire for Silverleaf. Not on column, not under dash, not to be found by me and not for lack of trying.
Until the FL tech guys at the FL rally took the trap door ON TOP of the dash, above the speedometer off.
The OBD port was down deep but it really was there. Thanks FL techs!!!!
