Reseting date on a Freightliner Chassis screen

The date on our new Itasca Meridian shows 00/00/2000. I have played with the joy stick but the message is no reset availavle.

Please help.

With engine off, but key on, hold the toggle for 5 sec.. It will then go into set up screen and you can set the time and date.

Post 197 will get you to the screen. Same screen for recalibrating the compass.

I just went thru this. Check "Fleetwood Owners" forum for setting date/ time on a Discovery or search my threads. They were very helpful and i now have correct date and time.

There's a Youtube video somewhere out there in internet land which shows you how to do this step-by-step. I've seen it before, and used it, but I can't find it at the moment. Maybe on Freightliner Chassis Owner's Club.

I need to find it again, too, as mine reset to 2000 since I turned off the chassis battery switch for the winter. If anyone finds the link, please post, as it's a great video.

In normal mode with no selection highlighted, hold the button to the right for 3 seconds or so and the screen should switch to another mode. Choose "setup" by toggling to it and selecting it, then the information should be available.

Will the setting goes to default (2000) if the house battery disconnect switch is turned on? Do you need to do this again or once is good?

I believe that the chassis battery services the ICBU. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong (I'm never wrong, just mistaken sometimes.) So if the disconnect is turned off, that services the ICBU, then it will have to be reset every time the disconnect is turned back on.

If you do not have 110v power when in storage it is in storage, even with the disconnect switches turned of there can be parasitic drains on he battery. Over time it may cause the battery to run down.

Wayne's got it right. It's connected to the chassis battery.

Mine has a switch. I turned it off this winter, and it reset to the 2000 default.

IMO the best way to do this is the step by step instructions in the Freightliner owners manual.
I have also shortened the Freightliner default checklist to items that work for me.

I recommend

Did you find how to do it?

Inquisitive minds want to know.
