Roadmaster Brake Master install?
Hi all,
I have moved from an even brake to the Brake Master air system.
The install has gone great except, I could not find the right port on the brake relay valve to tee off.
I am running a 2006 XC chassis. I have located the brake relay valve and anti lock brake valves, they are just forward of the rear axle.
The Big lines going to the brake cans are to big for the tee's which came with the kit. I tried looking at 1/4 line marked service, but did not get any pressure when the service brake was applied.
Has anyone done or scene where to hook into the air brake system???

My last 2 motor homes were built on Freightliner, the coach before that on a Spartan.. The Spartan had a box that I just removed a plug and inserted the fitting that goes to the air line. THe last 2 Freightliners I had to remove one of the air lines on one of the rear brakes and create a "T" fitting, one for the brakes on the chassis and one to travel to the rear of the coach for the quick release fitting. When in Doubt, call Roadmaster
ps. If you "T" from the wrong airline, every time you release the air parking brake in your coach, you'll set the brakes in the car you're towing which simply requires you to swap brake hoses and get the correct air supply line to the brakes

Thanks, question
Was the line you hooked into one of the two large lines from the ABS valves to the brake cans. I look at those lines because the line is clearly marked service brake. The tee in the kit just looked to small those hose fittings. I will talk with Roadmaster tomorrow.

you have 2 choices on the ports. One is the parking brake, other brake.
If you select the wrong one (I did first time) wheels are locked and you drag( I tried on sand).

Air brake hook up point.
I was able to talk with a Tech from a Chain store than does installs.
He tags into the air hose just as it goes into the brake can. It is marked service brake.
He has to have a flare fitting tee made up at a near by propane dist.
I have picked one up but have not installed it yet, but looks like an easy job.

When I installed my unit, I removed the air line, put in a "T" fitting then got an reducer at The Hose Man, installed the air line to the "T" and the 1/4" line to the reducer which attached to the other side of the "T". No custom flared flanges etc. Very Easy and when I sold my last coach, I removed everything from that coach and transferred it to my new coach.
